BRIGHAM CITY - Roy Valentine, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 1999, at Godfrey's Foothill Retreat in Brigham City. He was born on March 4, 1916, in Brigham City, Utah, a son of James P. and Sarah D. Woodland Valentine.
He married his sweetheart, Alberta Parker, on July 17, 1957, in Brigham City, Utah. She preceded him in death on May 17, 1994.
He served in the Navy during World War II. Roy retired from Hill Air Force Base where he worked in Aircraft Recovery and Analysis. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and loved to read Louis L'Amour books.
Surviving is one daughter, Donna Rae (Paul) Pekkanen of Tacoma, Washington; three brothers, Ted (Donna) and Don (lone) Valentine both of Brigham City; Earl Valentine of Salt Lake City. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, at 2 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery
