RUGGIERO, Barbara Kathleen 88, died in the Suncoast Hospice Care Center, Palm Harbor, Monday, March 23, 2015. She was born in Webster, SD. She lived in California and Colorado before moving to Dunedin in 1989. Barbara was a member of the Denver Sweet Adelines, an organization of women barbershop harmony singers. Later, she was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes church choir in Dunedin.

She is survived by husband, Vincent Ryan Ruggiero; and by seven of her eight children, Mark, Eric, Randy, Kim, Joseph, Lisa, and Karen. (Her first child, Michael, predeceased her.) Also by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Barbara's family and friends will remember her, not only for her physical beauty, but more importantly for her deep love of God and neighbor. They will continue to be inspired by the courage and grace she showed in her seven-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Calling hours will be from 1-4 pm Sunday, March 29, at the Moss-Feaster Funeral Home Dunedin, FL. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, March 30, at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Dunedin. A committal service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, April 18, at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, Palm Harbor, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Suncoast Hospice 2675 Tampa Rd., Palm Harbor, FL 34684, or to Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research, One Intrepid Square, West 46th St. & 12th Ave., New York, NY 10036.
