Born Feb. 19, 1941, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Nevin and Velma (Swailes) Geedy. On Dec. 24, 1992, he married his surviving wife of more than 22 years, Ella Mae (Fisher) Geedy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his three sons, Greg A. Geedy and his wife, Beth, Heath A. Geedy and his wife, Jennifer, all of Dillsburg, and Shane A. Geedy, of Carlisle; siblings, Arlene Clever and her husband, Clarence, of Cleversburg, Rhonda Cook, of Shippensburg, Vira Wible, of Chambersburg, and Cliff Geedy and his wife, Linda, of Orrstown; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchild- ren.
He was preceded in death by: a son, Gary A. Geedy; and three brothers, Nevin Geedy Jr., Robert Geedy and Ronald Geedy.
Larry retired as an independent truck driver and his interests included hunting, fishing and NASCAR.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Dennis Thompson officiating. After the service, interment will take place in East Waterford Cemetery.
Viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
