Soward, Mary Alene
Mrs. Mary Alene (Cecil) Soward, age 94, of Hawkins, Texas, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, in Quitman, Texas. She was a member of Big Sandy Church of Christ, a housewife, and mother. She was the daughter of the late James Garfield Cecil and the late Kate (Means) Cecil. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton Bryan Soward; and fourteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by four sons, O.K. Bill Soward and wife Ruth of Hawkins, Texas, Milton W. Soward and wife Irene of Hawkins, Texas, Michael Bryan Soward and wife Lynda of Rosebud, Texas, Joe Weldon Soward and wife Marlene of San Antonio, Texas; one brother,
Bill Cecil of Mission, Texas; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Beaty Funeral Home, 630 West Broad Street, Mineola, Texas, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, February 24, 2006. Funeral service will be at Beaty Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2006, with Mr. Gene Lofton officiating. Interment will be at Raymondville Cemetery in Raymondville, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2005.
