Edgar McPherson Wilson, Jr., 62, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 6, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA. Memorial services will be held 4:00 pm EST Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. A private interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.

Mr. Wilson was born September 30, 1952 in Lexington, SC to the late Edgar McPherson Wilson, Sr. and Nellie Luola Franklin Wilson. He was employed with Mead/Westvaco with 17 plus years of service. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching TV, tinkering with different projects, loved inventing things and ideas, and was a Baptist by faith.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Minnie "Sharon" Rabren Wilson of Phenix City, AL, daughters, Denise Riley and Yolonda McCann, both of Phenix City, AL, sons, Edgar Wilson and wife Gracie of Salem, AL, and Lemuel Newsome and wife Tara of Columbus, GA; sisters, Juliette Day of Columbus, GA, and Mary Nell Ekert of Phenix City, AL,
