Cody Warren Miller, “Moose” age 19, of Homer City, Pa died Tuesday March 17, 2015 and is in the loving arms of the Lord.

Cody was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, grandson & friend and is safe from whatever was too much to bear. Cody is with loved ones and is now at peace.

He was born on December 14, 1995 in Shallotte, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Tina Miller of Shallotte, North Carolina and the Nephew of Rickey & Lori Miller of Homer City, PA who raised him as their son since March of 2006.

Cody attended Homer Center High School and graduated in 2014 where he was a member of the National Honor Society, All Star Gazette Football 2012 & 2013, All Gazette Track 2013, Upward Bound Math & Science participant @ IUP, Varsity Club, Blood Drive Donor & Volunteer, Basketball State Playoffs 2013 & 2014, Freshman Class Treasurer, Volunteer for Homer Center Youth Football Camp, Optimist All Star Basketball Team 2014, Heritage Conference & D6 Football Champions 2013, Heritage Conference Basketball Champions 2014, Homer Center 2013 Homecoming King, Discus Heritage Conference Champion 2014, Discus D6 3rd place Champion 2014, Ken Lantzy All Star Football Team 2014
Cody currently attended Indiana University of PA Majoring in Health & Safety Science and was a member of the IUP Track Team. He was the recipient of the Sutton Scholarship.
Cody was employed at the IUP HUB Gym and refereed areal basketball games.

Cody enjoyed playing football, basketball, track, hunting, fishing & hanging with his friends & family.

Cody is survived by his Uncle & Aunt Rickey & Lori Miller of Homer City, Pa, Brother Joshua Miller of Homer City, Pa, Sister Kristina & Husband Andre Sykes ,Nephew Ki & Niece Ivy Sykes all of Supply, NC, sister Gabrielle Miller of Pittsburgh, Pa, Cousin Marley Moskel of Brooklyn, NY, Uncle Mark Zellman of Indiana, Pa, Aunt Sue & husband James Winborn of Holden, NC, Paternal Grandmother Janice Moroney of Huntington Beach CA & Grandfather Frank Zellman of Indiana PA

Cody is also survived by his special friends Tom Dodson, Shawn, Mikey, Luke, Kolby, Tommy, Billy, Johnny, Anthony, Joey, Coaches & Teachers and many more too numerous to mention.

Cody is preceded in Death by his Mother Tina Miller of Shallotte, NC and his maternal grandparents Marlene & Billy Miller of Shallotte, NC, Uncle Stanley Miller of Cocoa Beach FL

Cody was a gentle giant who entered our lives and has left a giant footprint in our hearts with his smile that will be remembered forever.

Friends & family will be received at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home in Homer City, Pa. from 2-8 PM.

Memorial donations be made to The Homer Center Education Foundation for the Football Stadium renovation in Cody's name.
