Mrs. AMANDA SHROEDER [sic], wife of Sanford Shroeder, of Fairground Ave., died Monday of consumption, aged 68 years, 2 months and 17 days. She was a Miss Walker, sister of Capt. W.W. Walker, George and Thomas Walker.
She leaves a husband and nine children: Mrs. Eigenbrode, Mechanicstown; Chas. W., and Mrs. Sample, Fountaindale, Pa.; Lizzie B., Thomas Clarence, Katie B., Carrie May, Harry H., of Hagerstown.
She was an invalid for six months.
Funeral services were held at the house. Interment at Rose Hill. Pallbearers: Samuel Strite, Daniel Stover, Geo. Lias, Geo. B. Oswald, Alexander Armstrong and Silas Beard.
