Rose Anna (Dafler) Brown, 71, of 9395 Pence-Shewman Road, Eldorado, died Sunday, April 14, at Wayne Hospital in Greenville after an illness of six weeks.
Born Dec. 15, 1924, in West Alexandria, she was the daughter of the Late Upton A. and Golda (Paston) Dafler and had lived in Preble County all her life. She was a 1942 graduate of West Alexandria High School. Mrs. Brown was a retired cook for several Preble County restaurants, and was a member of the Gettysburg Community Club.
Her husband Thomas M. Brown, died June 17, 1995. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Upton Dafler Jr. and Richard Dafler.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Wigger of Kahulah, Hawaii; two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael A. Brown of Eaton, William T. and Brenda Brown of Eldorado; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; to sisters, Margaret Mt. Castle and Mary Jane Dafler, both of Eaton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 16, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Richard Van Tine officiating. There was no public calling. Burial was in the Monroe Cemetery near Eldorado.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Middletown.
