James "Junior" Dewitt Coggins, Jr. 89 of Covington, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015. He was born in Atlanta, Ga. to the late James Dewitt Coggins Sr and Annie Coggins, Mr. Coggins was a member of Grace Baptist Church for 58 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son James "Jimmy" Coggins, III.
Mr. Coggins is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Ree Coggins of Covington; daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Carson Tyler of Conyers; grandchildren Kristy Lindsey, Jamie Coggins, Samantha Odom and Cale Coggins; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister Mary Clarke of Covington.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27th at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Bone officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, March 26th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
