Billy was born on March 29, 1947 to Julian A. and Sophie C. Speer in Ogden, Utah. He passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was 54.
After joining the Army, Billy served his country during the Vietnam War.
He resided in Lead, S.D. until moving to Salt Lake City.
Billy is survived by his mother, Sophie Speer; and his siblings, Jimmy Speer of Texas, Anita Martinez, of Roy, Utah, Theresa Garcia of Salt Lake City Josephine (Jerry) Killey of West Jordan, Utah, Cordie (Clark)Watts of Salt Lake City, Martha Garcia of Roy, Utah, Juanita (Kelly) Valdez of Ogden, Utah, Betty (Eddie) Chandler-Goodall of Cortez, Robert Speer of Bloomfield, N.M., Richard Speer, Arthur (Marie) Speer, and Tony Speer all of Salt Lake City, Esther Speer, and Tina Speer both of Cortez, Dolores Valdez of Denver, Lois (Darrell) Hillman of Salt Lake City, Darrell (Rose) Speer of Farmington, N.M., and Debbie Speer of Cortez.
His father; brother Albert Speer, and sister, Romancita Speer, all preceded him in death.
Services will be under the direction of the Ertel Funeral Home.
