Mrs. Myrtie Rice Harrington, age 100 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015.
Born Sunday, July 05, 1914 in Winnfield, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was an avid quilter who worked well with her hands, whether it was quilter or embroidering.
Mrs. Harrington was preceded in death by her Parents, Thomas Jefferson, Sr. and Rosalee Cockerham Rice; Son, Ricky Harrington; Granddaughter, Toletha Harrington-Furlow; Eight Brothers and Sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her Sons, Hoyt Willie Harrington, Jr. and wife Ann, John T. Harrington and wife Glenda and Phil Harrington and wife Paula; 14 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26 at Southern Funeral Home, from 12:00 PM until services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Keyes officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery, in Atlanta.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Seth Harrington, Quinton Harrington, Johnny Harrington, Tucker Harrington, Chuck Harrington, Craig Rice, Kris Durr, Kyle Carpenter.
