Delores Walton, 78, Republic, died at 7:40 a.m. Sunday at Christian Health Care, Republic. She was born October 25, 1925, in Springfield, Mo., to Ralph and Edna (Manes) Creson. She was united in marriage to Johnnie W. Walton July 5, 1946. They lived and raised their son and daughter in Republic. Mr. Walton passed away March 4, 2003. Delores enjoyed reading and knitting. Family members cherish the afghans knitted by Delores and given to them. She is survived by a son, Jerald Walton, Aurora; a daughter, Kristie Mobley, Crane; a sister, Dora Lyons, Republic; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at Evergreen Cemetery, Republic, under direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic.
