Leonard Abraham Lincoln Broyles was born on May 25, 1918, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 96.

Lincoln, the son of Ira and Samantha (Woods) Broyles, was a resident of Meeker. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was wounded in action in Germany in World War II. He married Molly Melvira Smith on December 21, 1940. Melvira preceded Lincoln in death on June 20, 2009, after 68 years of marriage. Lincoln was an active member of the Meeker First Baptist Church. He was a car maintenance enthusiast and enjoyed working on the farm.

Lincoln's parents, wife, son, Wendell Broyles, and six sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Gil and Christy Broyles of Edmond; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Royce Shackelford of Tecumseh; daughter-in-law, Rayna Broyles of Prague; grandchildren, Shawn and Kara Broyles of Prague, Jamie and Shelly Broyles of Meeker, Jody and Becky Shackelford of Tecumseh and Andrew Broyles of Tulsa; 5 great grandchildren; other numerous family and friends.

Visitation and viewing will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Meeker with Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
