Eric Christian, 28, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away March 22, 2015. He was born July 7, 1986, in East Patchogue, New York and came here 18 years ago from Long Island, New York. He was of the Lutheran Faith. He was currently a student at the University of Florida and was a member of Planet Fitness and a coach for "LEANation" at Beachbody. Eric was beginning his Bachelor's program at UF to become a teacher, but it was him who was teaching us all along. From the day he was born, he taught his mama the meaning of love, taught his daddy the importance of family, and taught his siblings about true friendship. He loved sports, especially football. He was an artist, a singer, a lover and a fighter. He was selfless and put others before himself until the day he died. One of Eric's favorite quotes was :Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi.
He is survived by his mother, Michele Christian of Crystal River: a brother, Corey Christian; sisters, Candice Christian and Paige Denkin; cousins, Jesse, Brandon, Jeni, Bryan, Whitney and Alex, Jamie, Brittany, Kiki, David, Koty, Christian and Baby Lucy, along with a long list of friends throughout the country.
There will be a celebration of life gathering from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday March 27, 2015, at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 1901 SE US HWY 19, Crystal River, FL 34429. (352) 795-2678.
