A son of the late Jesse L. and Lillian Ouzts Rearden. Widower of his wife of 43 ½ years, Jane Hughes Rearden. Was a 1947 graduate of Greenwood High School and served 2 years in the US Army. Mr. Rearden then served over 20 years in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict where he received numerous campaign ribbons and good conduct awards and was honorably discharged in December 1970.
Was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Griffin and Lila Barnwell.
