She was born October 21, 1918 near Marshall to Joe Cephas and Melinda Iona Bailey Cohey.
She married Virgel Horace Windly on March 19, 1938 in Marshall.
She was a homemaker, business owner, and member of South Mountain Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
She was the last living child and was preceded in death by her youngest son Gary Wayne Windly, her parents, brothers, Carl, Richard and Paul Cohey; sister, Myrle Bohannon, Rae Renfroe, Mildred Harris, and Willodean Lewis.
Survivors include: husband Virgel, granddaughter: Deborah Dawn and husband Richard E. Olson of Sugar Land, Texas; grandson Douglas Wayne Windly of Atlanta, Georgia; son: Larry G. Windly of Marshall, and grandson Greg Windly of Marshall.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 12, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Roller Coffman Chapel in Marshall with Bro. Kenny McDaniel officiating.
Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery under the direction Roller Coffman Funeral Home of Marshall.
Pallbearers are nephews: Carl Stringfellow, Paul Renfroe, Jim Renfroe, Bob Renfroe, Devoy Lewis, Ladoy Lewis.
