Funeral services for Philip Michael Allen, age 64, formerly of Winfield, TX will be on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, TX. Visitation will be on Friday, March 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Dwayne Goodson will be officiating and burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Titus County. Serving as Pallbearers are Keith Justiss, Zack Fuquay, Brandon Haley, Ron Rich, and Gary Cox. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer is Mr. Lennie Rich. Mr. Allen was born to the late Ottis Allen and late Ruth Boen Allen on October 20, 1950 in Dallas, TX. Philip was a man with a unique and fun personality. While living in Mount Vernon, Philip worked as a ranch-hand at a local ranch. He loved his family and friends, and he loved horseback riding and ranching. He was a Dallas Cowboys’ fan and he enjoyed watching western movies. He is survived by one daughter, Leslie Allen of Mount Vernon; one sister, Betty Crane and husband Frankie Broom of Mount Vernon; grandchildren Halie Daniels, Karsyn Daniels, and Karoline Gillean of Winnsboro; one niece, Kimberly Edwards and husband Brandon of Winnsboro, and one nephew, Chance Crane of Mount Vernon.In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Green Hill Cemetery Association.Donations can be sent to: Green Hill Cemetery Association, ATTEN: William Caldwell, 410 N.
