Phyllis A. Lawson, 83, of Iaeger, WV, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, in the Bower's Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Phyllis was born May 13, 1931, in Iaeger, WV, a daughter of the late Cleveland S. Rice (Deceased) and Lakie Jane Roberts-Rice (1912-2003). She was a member of the U.S. Route 52 Church of God, a homemaker and a former employee of Shirl's Flowers in Iaeger, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bane Clifton Lawson (1913-1996), a daughter, Lori Ann Lawson (1970-1970); a sister, Martha Rice-Tracy (Deceased), brother-in-law, Milton Tracy; a brother Kenneth Rice (Deceased), and an infant brother, Donnie Pat Rice (1951-1951).
Survivors include two brothers, Bill Rice and wife June of Athens, WV, and Tommy Rice and wife Delphean of Fayetteville, NC; and one sister, Linda Rice-Wcislo and husband John of Tazewell, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 1 o'clock with Reverend Don Morgan officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Iaeger Memorial Cemetery at Roderfield, WV.
