Maratha M. Grissom Atchason, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Saturday February 21, 2004, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehab Center.
Born on May 8, 1923, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the duaghter of William Milton and Violet Pearl (Ryburn) Grissom. She married Elmer Atchason in June of 1950, and he died July 29, 1964.
Surviving are one son, Douglas Atchason of Greenwood, IN; one daughter, Dianna Fleetwood and husband, Rex, of Bedford, IN; one sister, Vilena Leger and husband, Donald, of Paoli; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers: Ryburn, Richard R., Forrest, and Douglas Grissom.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bryantsville Church of Christ.
Burial will follow in Bryantsville Cemetery.
