Deborah Lynn Pryor Young, 59, Elkton, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Keith officiating.

Burial will follow in Flat Lick Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, she was born Jan. 18, 1953, the daughter of the late D.B. and Christine Morris Pryor.

She was retired from WHOP where she worked as a reporter and in marketing. She was also a weather reporter for TV43 and worked for the city Planning Commission. She was a member of Elkton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dwaine Puckett, and her son, Christopher Wayne Joiner, in 2003.


Survivors include her husband, Billy Young; her son Matthew Young, Chicago; two daughters, Sarah Young, Elkton, and Tiffany Bigham, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; her brother, Danny Pryor, Hopkinsville; her sister, Janet Warren, Crofton; and four grandchildren.
