Funeral services for Sarah Elizabeth Ward, age 95 of Cookeville, TN will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Danny Hall, Frank Davis, and Larry Green officiating. Burial will follow at Paran Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 PM.
Mrs. Ward passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Signature Health Care in Algood. Sarah Elizabeth Ward was born on May 6, 1919 in Putnam County, TN to the late Alex Walter and Cassie (Bryant) Green. She worked as a Housekeeper for Maddux Hardware. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her HUSBAND: Clarence Ward on February 19, 2015; 5 BROTHERS: Jim Lee Green, Lon Green, Johnny “Bud” Green, Melvin Green, and Claude Green. 2 SISTERS: Ellen Pryor and Maude Fleming; Nieces and Nephews
