BYRD , Jennie G. 96, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. Graduate of Wilberforce University and retired from the Dayton Public Library. Preceded in death by her parents Peter and Jennie Griggs; children Oscar Taylor Robinson Jr. and Geraldine Holmes, 3 brothers, 1 sister and special friend Robert Mason Jr. She is survived by her granddaughters Janell M. Robinson of Wilberforce and Deanna (Kevin) Pleasant of Columbus; grandsons Oscar Taylor (Paula) Robinson III of Cincinnati and Michael Holmes of Salem, MA. Great grandchildren Madison Robinson, Emory Holmes, Tyla and Tyneshia Daniel and Ja-Vaigha Simington; nieces Phyliss Weatherford and Jean Peoples and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends 5-7pm Tuesday May 29, 2007 at PORTER QUALLS & GARY FUNERAL HOME 2500 Cleveland Ave., Columbus and 11:00am Wednesday May 30, 2007 at Salem Missionary Baptist Church 3100 W. 3rd St. Funeral will begin at 12:00 noon.
