Beverly JoAnne Bishop Turnipseed was born February 18, 1933 in rural Indianola, IA, the eldest and only daughter of Forrest "Frosty" and Fern Bishop. She passed from this life to be with her forever friend, Jesus on Friday, March 20, 2015 at home with family under the tender care of Good Shepherd Hospice at the age of 82 years.

Beverly was a graduate of Indianola High School in Iowa. She married Robert "Bob" Turnipseed on July 22, 1951, and moved to Oklahoma in 1968.

She had several careers over her lifetime. Book keeper for Warren County Oil in Indianola, IA, then with DD Dye Oil Company in Clear Lake, IA; Youth Director/ Christian Education Director from 1968-1982 at First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, Ok; Chiropractic Assistant at Christian Chiropractic Clinic in Broken Arrow, OK, where she retired from in February 1996.

Beverly loved traveling, reading, cross stitching, scouting, spending time with youth groups and family but her main passion was to share the love of Jesus to everyone. She was a member of the Broken Arrow Church of the Nazarene for 32 years where she served as a teacher and a greeter.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert "Bob" Turnipseed, Daughter and husband, Son and wife, four Grandchildren and spouses; Eight great-grandchildren, many extended family members and beloved friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Fern Bishop of Iowa, Brothers Dennis Bishop and Max Bishop of Iowa, Infant son, David Eugene Turnipseed.

Family receiving friends on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 4pm-8pm at Floral Haven. A celebration of life is planned for Tuesday, March 24, 2015, 7:00pm at Broken Arrow Church of the Nazarene, 401 W. New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the "Beverly Turnipseed Teen Camp Scholarship Fund" at Broken Arrow Church of the Nazarene.
