Francis (Frank) Coyle was the son of Patrick Coyle and Catherine Bardon. He married Catherine Gothier/Gauthier. He served in Company "F" 45th, Regiment, Illinois Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. He was a farmer. Frank and Catherine's children were Frank Patrick, Albert A., Minnie, Mary, Thomas, Agnes G., Edward W., Bertha Estilla, George Augustus, Lou and Joseph Maria Coyle.
