PORTVILLE - Albert Stanley Blakeslee Sr., of 1350 Lillibridge Road, Portville, passed away Sunday (March 22, 2015) at his home, surrounded in love by his whole family. He was born Nov. 9, 1941, in Portville, a son of the late Ruby and Minnie Rinehultz Blakeslee. On Aug. 12, 1978, in Portville, he married MaryEllen Lette, who survives. Al attended Portville Central School. He drove a school bus for Laidlaw Corp. and a coach bus for Blue Bird Coach, and he was employed at Taylor and Armstrong Co. of Eldred, Pa. He was a member of the Obi Community Church and a lifetime Portville volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Al is survived by his loving wife, MaryEllen; his children, Theresa Blakeslee, Nancy Livingston, Corinna Hill, Brenda Greeley and Albea Blakeslee Jr., all of Portville, and Ronald Blakeslee of Buffalo; his grandchildren, Billy, Ricky, Josh, Shane, Ashley, Toby, Jessica, Sara, Andrew and Alinna; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Lyons of Portville; a brother, Terry Blakeslee of Olean; several nieces and nephews; a lifetime brother, Bill Hartman of Little Genesee; and a good friend, Chuck Hinton of Portville. He was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret Karr and Ruthann Lockridge; two brothers, James and Robert Blakeslee; and a son-in-law, Danny Greeley. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.
