Troy served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 -1953 and eight years in active reserves. He had retired from Borden Dairy with 30 years of service.
Troy was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Clear Creek Christian Church in Springboro where he enjoyed participating in his Sunday School class, doing hospital visits and ushering. He was a lifetime member of the Full Gospel of Business Men's Fellowship International. Troy also loved gardening and golf and one of his highlights was a hole in one.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Willa Dean (Hinkle) Wells, daughter: Marcella (fiancé: Jeff Meiring) Wells of IL, brother: Arthur (Onibe) Wells of KY, sisters: Maudie Chamberlain of IN, Mossie Stahley of KY, many nieces, nephews and wonderful in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bradley and Ida (Wilson) Wells. A Celebration in honor of Troy Wells life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Bruce Moore officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
