Beef was born on August 29, 1943 in Charleston, Illinois and a son of the late Holly O. and Violet Gerine (Shick) Easter. He honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Beef and Mary were married on September 9, 2000 in Charleston and he has been her “Beefie” for over 14 years. In addition to Mary he is survived by a daughter, Holli Easter Cowden of Florida; a son, Shawn Easter of Chicago; a stepson, Tim Pedigo of Shelbyville; 3 grandchildren, Derek Ferguson, Katelyn Cowden and Lathyn Pedigo; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayd and Abbi Ferguson; 5 brothers, Jim (Shirley) Easter of Mattoon, Les (Valerie) Easter of Park Forest, IL, John Easter, Randy Easter and Ron (Jan) Easter, all of Charleston; 2 sisters, Judy (Bob) Halsey and Sue Easter of Charleston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Beef’s wishes are for everyone to remember him as a performer and entertainer who was able to make people’s lives better through humor and laughter.
