He served his country proudly and was a disabled United States Army Veteran.
He was of the Baptist faith where he was saved at the age of 16 while in the tobacco patch.
Survivors:
One son, Charles Bledsoe, Jr. (Andra); four grandchildren, Campbell Bledsoe, Claire Bledsoe, Camryn Bledsoe and Caelyn Bledsoe; three sisters, Ruth Wingfield, Jean Cooke (Jimmy), Betty Rae (Henry); two brothers Noah William Bledsoe, Jr. (Lavenda) and Larry Bledsoe Sr. (Helen); several nieces and nephews.
Service:
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Hardy and Son Funeral Home.
Military honors given at the cemetery.
