Born Aug. 27, 1918 in Martin County, he was the son of Stanley F. and Frances Parker Webb.
A United States Army veteran of World War II, he was a stonecutter employed by Ingalla Stone Company and Indiana Limestone Company. He cut the stone for the George Washington Crossing monument for the Bicentennial celebration in 1976.
He attended Patton Hill School and was a life member of the Oolitic VFW Post No. 1686 and Crossroads Community Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Sarah Louise Carcciolo Webb; one son, Larry D. Webb and wife Georgetta (Jo) of Bloomfield; three daughters, Mary A. Trask and husband, Marty, of Bloomington, Susan G. Davis, of Norman, OK, and Elizabeth A. Prine and husband Richard, of Freedom; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Stanley Matthew Webb and Chester Carl Webb, Jr.; one grandson, Ryan J. Webb; and eight brothers and sisters.
Burial will follow at Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Military graveside rites will be held by members of American Legion Gillen Post No. 33.
