Grayson, GA - Jean Caroline Coon of Grayson, GA passed away peacefully in Schenectady, NY on March 12, 2015.
She was born March 23, 1933 to Ernest and Minnie Hilda Gannon, of Rotterdam, New York.
She met George E. Coon from Charlton, NY at a barn dance and they were married in Ballston Spa, NY on Sept. 30, 1955.
She and George loved to travel and took great pleasure in being with their family and friends camping, hiking and traveling across many states to see them.
In 1981, Jean and George moved to Lawrenceville, GA, where they became active in the Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church, where they both volunteered for various community activities including Joy Class, which she and George attended regularly.
She also enjoyed volunteering with the Lawrenceville Food Co-op. She loved lambs and shared with others her story of being found by Christ.
Jean and George were married for 58 years. She was preceded in death by George in 2014.
She will be interred with George at Saratoga National Cemetery.
