LaVerne was born in Brandon, Minn., October 23rd, 1918. She passed away at Alexandria on February 2nd, being seventeen years, three months and 8 days at the time of her untimely death.
LaVerne was a Sophomore in high school and was also a member of the Young Peoples Society of the German Lutheran Church. She was confirmed from the Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving, besides her mother, are four brothers and two sisters: Roy, Earl, Bernice and Rosa, at home; Ralph, at CCC at Hoveland, Minn.; Albert (hospital) here in city. also surviving are her four grandparents.
LaVerne will be greatly missed by her friends, as she had a very pleasing personality and a cheerful disposition.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday from teh Anderson Funeral Home and from the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. A. Bartz officiating. Interment was made in Kinkead cemetery. The pallbearers were Edwin Schmidt, Werner Schultz, Egner Zastrow, Alton Myrvold, Carl Haberer and Alvin Krohnfeldt.
