Norman Kenneth Sharp, age 76 of Irving, TX went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. He was born on August 12, 1938 in Marlinton, WV to Woodrow and Lula Sharp. Norman spent the first part of his life around Cass, WV where he was the oldest of ten chilren. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1956 - 1960. In 1959 he moved to Texas and married Ethel, she preceded him in death in 1993. Norman was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed racing stock cars, hunting and fishing. He loved his family and was especially fond of his sidekick, L.C. a little black and white chihuahua. Also preceding Norman in death is his parents, Woodrow and Lula Sharp; siblings, James and Steve Sharp, Linda Mathaney; granddaughter, Rebecca Ray; great-grandson, Cole Childress. Survivors include, daughter, Mickie Ray and husband Roger; sisters, Connie Privitt, Helen Coleman and husband Gary, Leona Sharp; brothers, Alvin Sharp and wife Gloria Jean, Paul Sharp, Ivan Sharp and wife Reba; granddaughter, Candis Sharp-Ray and husband Zack Morris; great-grandchildren, Landon, Maci and Madelyn Morris. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 22nd at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 23rd at the Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Parkhill officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth.
