SPRING GROVE Jacob T. Moore, 28, passed away at home on March 20, 2015. Jacob was born in York, on June 7, 1986, and was the son of James and Sharon (McKinney) Moore. He graduated high school from New Oxford Christian Academy in 2004. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was honorably discharged. He then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science from Penn State University in December of 2014. He was also a member of Dallastown American Legion. In addition to his parents, James and Sharon, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Fairy Carver; his brothers, Chris, Timothy, James, Samuel, Nathan, and John Moore; his sisters, Amy Hartman, Sarah Moore, and Ruth Moore; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Michael Campbell officiating. He will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Condolences may be shared at
