Arlie E. "Chris" Christian, 75, of Grand Junction, passed away March 18, 2015 at San Juan Living Center in Montrose, Colo.

He was born August 21, 1939 to Arlie W. and Opal L. Christian in Wilson, OK. His parents and siblings moved from Oklahoma to Colorado in 1955 and he graduated from Palisade High School in 1958.

Arlie went into the United States Air Force in 1959 thru 1965. He made his life's passion of being a brick mason a lifelong career.

He enjoyed finding antlers and arrowhead hunting with his father and brothers. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the V.F.W. Post #1247.

Arlie is preceded in death by his mother, Opal; brother, Wendell; grandparents; and Lisa Haines.

Arlie is survived by his father, Arlie W. Christian, of Clifton; brothers, Theren Christian, of Clifton, Thad Christian, of Clifton, and Colin Christian, of Grand Junction; sister, Vonda Christian, of Grand Junction; daughters, Cindy Nelson, of Lake City, Christina Brooker, of Palisade, and Chandra Sheets, of Aztec, NM; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Donations will go to the V.F.W. Post 1247, located at 1404 Ute Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501.

Celebration of life will be held Wednesday March 25, 2015 11:00 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, with interment to follow at 1:00 p.m at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, with Military Honors.
