Roy E. "Butch" DePeyster, 57 of Liverpool, died Monday at University Hospital after a long illness. Born in Syracuse he was a life-resident of the Syracuse area. Roy was a graduate of Central Tech High School. He was formerly employed by Pine Crest Manor Liverpool and Hill's Department Store. Predeceased by his father, Wilbur DePeyster.
Survivors: His mother, Mae Backus Gmyr of Liverpool; sisters, Barbara Broton of Clay, Shirley DePeyster of Solvay, Sandra Shuster of Hastings, Sue Draper of Syracuse, Janet Gmyr of Liverpool, Debbie Gmyr of Massena and Pam Gmyr of Norfolk; brothers, Ronald DePeyster of Baldwinsville and Richard Gmyr of Massena; several nieces and nephews.
Services: Funeral services Friday at 11 a.m. at FARONE & SON. Calling hours Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
