Randall W. "Randy" Ward, 48, of West Deaver Road, died at 3:51 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Randy was a 1980 graduate of Columbus North High School and was a self-employed woodworker and cabinet maker. He enjoyed his woodworking, painting and fishing.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Dereck Fields officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
In keeping with Randy's wishes, cremation will take place following the funeral service.
A private family graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at Mount Healthy Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or National Kidney Foundation.

Born in Columbus May 20, 1962, Randy was the son of William L. and C. Jane Daugherty Ward. He married Robin S. Fields August 11, 1995.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Tyler James Ward of Trafalgar and Jacoby Charles Ward of Columbus; his mother and step-father, Jane and Allen Berry of Columbus; his father, William Ward of Middletown, Conn.; a brother, Scott C. Ward of Columbus; and a niece, Sarah Ward of Columbus.
Randy was preceded in death by grandparents, Georgia and Emerson Daugherty.
