Mary J. Hullinger, 72, of Sioux City died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at her residence following a sudden illness.
Services will be 2 p.m Friday at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Visitation will resume 8 a.m. until service time Friday, with the family present at 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hullinger was born March 23, 1931, in Salix, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Anna (Peterson) Mogensen. She graduated from Luton High School. She was a lifelong area resident.
She married George Raymond "Ray" Hullinger in Sioux City. He died Nov. 15, 1970, in Sioux City.
She attended Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Hullinger and his wife, Becky, of Correctionville, Iowa, and Roy Hullinger of Sioux City; two daughters, Rae Ann and her special friend, Bob Gunsolly, and Rosemary Hullinger, all of Sioux City; four brothers, John, Ray, Russ and Bill Mogensen, all of Sioux City; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her special friend, Andy Valladolid; a grandson, Nathan Hullinger; a brother, Jim Mogensen; and a sister, Carolann.
Pallbearers will be Bill, Russ, John and Ray Mogensen, Ed Klingensmith and Bob Gunsolly.
