Dale L Abbott, 83, formerly of Vincennes,
passed away on March 20, 2015 at Gowin
Parc in Mattoon, Il. Dale was born on
February 6, 1932 in Lawrenceville, Il, the
Son of Lewellen and Haulta (Akers) Abbott.
He married Billie Sue Lucas in May of 1984,
and she preceded him in death on February
28, 2009.

Dale was a member of First Presbyterian
Church and served his country in the United
States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Where he served at Combat Engineer. After
the War, Dale worked at a Nehi Bottling
Plant. He worked at Hamilton Glass for
thirty - four years Before his retirement.
Dale had a steadfast Faith in God and loved
attending church and Sunday school. He
was an avid fisherman, spending countless
hours on the banks of ponds and lakes.

Survivors include his daughters, Darlene
Stoltz and her husband David of Charleston,
Il; Daleta Perone and her husband Dan of
Medford, OR, son, Roy Dale Abbott and his
wife Jody of Decatur, Il; seven grandchildren,
two great grandsons, and several step
Grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents,
his wife, and brothers, Bill and Gerald Abbott,
and sister, Garnett Abbott.

Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m.
Monday, March 23, 2015 at Godwin Funeral
Home with his son Pastor Roy Dale Abbott
officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park
Cemetery. Where the All Weather Firing Squad
will conduct military honors. Friends may visit
with Dale's family from noon until the hour of
service time of 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home
on Monday.
