Hoppy Davis

William H. "Hoppy" Davis, 47, of Batesville died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at his home.

Born in Pleasant Plains, he was the son of Clearance Davis and Stella Drake Davis. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was of the Southern Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Priscilla Davis; two daughters, Crystal McAdams and Elizabeth Hertz, both of Batesville; a brother, Charles Davis of Batesville; three sisters, Kathy Eden and Connie Millsape, both of Denmark, and Diane Frank of Illinois; five grandchildren, William Davis, Christy Hertz, Russell McAdams, Paul McAdams and Lewis Hertz, all of Batesville; three nephews, Donnie McGlotholin, James Eden III and Jamie Millsape; and four nieces, Leva Millsape, Darlene Kimbler, Carmleta Gilbert and Susan Black.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Franklen Davis.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Bill Scroggins officiating. Arrangements are by Bradford Funeral Home.
