THURMAN, FRANKLIN D.R., 80, of Highland Park and Pioneer Village, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 14, 2014.

Mr. Thurman was a United States Army Veteran and he retired from General Electric.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents, Willard and Lora Thurman; brother, William Ernest Thurman; and sister, Grace Hazel Thurman.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Robert Thurman (Linda), Kenneth Thurman (Terri) and Christopher Thurman (Christina); three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Roberson; and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at Noon on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 1-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst.
