Katherine Dawn Reynolds
October 31, 1933 - March 20, 2015

Loving mother and grandmother, Katherine Dawn Reynolds, 81, died in her Dallas home Friday, March 20.

Dawn’s life reflected her love for family and adventure. She often shared fond childhood memories of swimming, bicycling, and horse-back riding. She came from a close-knit family who gave her abundant love and support, which she, in turn, passed on to her own children and grandchildren.

Dawn graduated from North Dallas High School in 1950 and attended North Texas University for three years before marrying in 1954. She focused her early adult years on raising her three daughters. In the mid-1970s, with her daughters grown, Dawn went to work in the accounting office of M/A/R/C (Marketing and Research Counselors), where she remained for over a decade before retiring to care for her ailing mother. After her mother’s death, she went into business for herself with a craft store at Olla Podrida Mall. When the mall closed and was torn down to make room for an expansion of Central Expressway, Dawn decided to train as a Medical Billing Specialist. She worked in the medical field for about the last 20 years of her life, retiring from the office of Dr. Allan Duby last May at 80 years old.

She will be remembered with great love by her sister, daughters, sons-in-laws, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces and nephew.
