Born in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania on 8 March 1842, William H. Snyder was the son of Easton natives, Peter and Susan (Jacoby) Snyder.

CIVIL WAR SERVICE
Mustered in as a Private with Company K, 47th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry on 15 February 1865. Mustered out with his regiment on 25 December 1865.

AFTER THE WAR
Occupation: Tinsmith.

Died of pulmonary tuberculosis at 423 Washington Street in Easton on 8 September 1907. Informant: Mrs. Sallie Brown of the same Easton residence. Interred at Easton Heights Cemetery on 11 September 1907.
