Charles Alfred Cripps, 1st Baron Parmoor was the son of Henry William Cripps and Julia Lawrence.6 He married, firstly, Theresa Potter, daughter of Richard Potter and Lawrencina Heyworth, on 27 October 1881.
He married, secondly, Marian Emily Ellis, daughter of Rt. Hon. John Edward Ellis, on 14 July 1919.
