My good friend Shawn Spencer was born on March 20th 1970 in Elmira New York and later on moved to Zephyrhills FL with his mom Trish and younger brothers Shane and Patrick where his mom married his stepdad Robert "Bob" Dunham. In 1994 Shawn married the love of his life Kathy and together they had 2 children a son Jordan and a daughter Kaitlyn. They were members of St. Joseph Catholic Church and my Mom taught Shawn's kids in Sunday School to which is how Shawn and I met. Shawn was a really big Sports Guy and loved the Tampa Bay Rays Baseball Team and the Dallas Cowboys NFL Team! I'm a Packers and Eagles Fan and he and I would joke around about who's team was the best! Shawn also worked for the Zephyrhills Correctional Institute for 13 years as a lieutenant! In early 2011 Shawn was diagnosed with colon cancer and sadly passed away on July 31st 2011 at the age of 41. He was survived by his beloved wife of 17 years Kathy, his two children Jordan and Kaitlyn, his mom and stepdad Trish and Bob, his two brothers Shane and Patrick, his many nieces and nephews, and his maternal grandmother Anne Ferraro. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend who'll be missed but never forgotten!
