Jennifer Chandler Evans, 38, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 1 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in New Bern.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at West Vanceboro Church of God.
Burial will follow in Vanceboro Cemetery.
Jennifer was born into a military family and was raised in several military bases, including Andrews Air Force Base, Fort Hood, and Fort Bragg.
She graduated from Westover Senior High School in Fayetteville and attended East Carolina University.
She has resided in the Vanceboro community for the past 15 years.
Jennifer worked at Chili’s and U.S. Cellular in Greenville and later worked for Alltel and had her own home cleaning business in Vanceboro.
In recent years, she developed a love for photography and began working as a photographer. Athletic by nature, she enjoyed and excelled at swimming, tap dance, and gymnastics. She loved shopping and most importantly, being a mother. She attended Holly Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Jennifer is survived by her:
daughter, Jordan Isabella “Bella” Evans;
son, James Trent Evans, both of the home;
mother, Flora Chandler, of Fayetteville;
father, John Chandler of Vanceboro;
sister, Jamie K. Chandler of Berwyn Heights, MD;
brothers, Jared A. Chandler of Fayetteville, and John K. Chandler, III of Berwyn Heights, MD
best friend and father of her children, Isaac Evans of Vanceboro
special friends, Misty Schreppel of Asheville, and
Tony Smith and Nelly Wheeler, both of Greenville.
The family will receive prior to the service on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM at the West Vanceboro Church of God.
