Dulin Clifton Crumpler, 83, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015.
He was born on May 26, 1931 to Shelby and Atsie Bell Crumpler in Jonesboro, Louisiana. D.C. married Beverly Jane Hawkins on April 4, 1953 who preceded him in death. He then married Yvonne Pilley who survives. He was a member of the Church of God and retired from Cities Service as an outside machinist. He then started Crumpler's Shipbuilding Co. Inc. with his brother James and continued to be the owner until his passing.
Survivors include his son, Randal Crumpler and wife, Shelly of Westlake; daughter, Donna Calvert of Westlake; daughter-in-law, Janise Crumpler of Sulphur; brothers, Billy Crumpler and Marvin Crumpler both of Westlake, Bobby Crumpler and wife, Garnetia and Kenneth Crumpler and wife, Linda all of Dry Creek; sister, Eula Hebert of Sulphur; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Crumpler; daughter, Anita Beth Stanley; parents, Shelby and Atsie Crumpler; brother, James Crumpler; and sister, Diane Dubose.
D.C. loved his land, his family, his animals and his business.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 5pm-9pm and will resume Sunday at 12:00 until the start of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. His funeral will be on Sunday at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
