Serena Grace Cooper, 103, of Macon, Mo., was born on March 27, 1903, in Narrows Township in Macon County, Mo., the daughter of John Henry and Cora Annabelle Butler Gaunt. She married John Douglas Cooper on Jan. 9, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Cooper preceded her in death on June 5, 1988.
Surviving are two daughters, Louise Cooper Underwood and her husband, Fred, of Decatur and Johnnie Sue Cooper Cleaver and her husband, Edward, of Atlanta, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Annabelle Cooper Swaidner and Dorothy Cooper; and one sister, Gladys Aronson.
