Mary Jane was the second born of children to Anna Marie Crothers and Adam W. Lowry.

Her parents Anna and Adam immigrated from Ireland and married in Alleghany City, PA. in 1869. Most likely her father Adam's sister name was the path that Adam and Anna Marie derived her name. This was interesting as Adam's siblings included the girls name given to her and siblings. Mary Jane and her older sister Martha aka Mattie (Coonan) were born PA.

Her paternal grandparents of Ireland were Martha Watt and James Lowry and paternal great grandparents were Martha Johnson and Alexander Lowry(her paternal Aunt Mary Jane was her namesake-her four other known paternal Uncles and Aunt Mary Jane1836, Alexander-1839, Robert-1845, Samuel-1849(m.Agnes), Martha-1852 (m. Alexander Lowry);

The young family of four moved to Janesville, WI. with 1873 being the birth of her next sibling, Grace (Coulter), followed by Emma(Raught), Ella(Dennie), Everett, Jas, Blaine, Jesse Belle(Allen).

Four of her siblings died in childhood/early adulthood before Mary Jane's parents passed in 1910.

She married Robert S. Lowry in LaPrairie Township, Janesville, WI. This was known where immigrants who spoke French lived in that part of the county .

They had 8 children: Norman(1889),Bessie(1893)(Honeysett), Twins(1895)Seth and Stan(1895), Hazel-1897(Olson),Floyd(1898), Walter(1901),Gladys(1905).

Mary lost husband Robert after a week of peritonitis ills in Nov.1904 several months before her youngest was born.

Her neighbors wrote Mary Jane was "held in highest regard with no complaints raising her children" 8 children being age 14 to newborn upon Robert passing. She lived at her resident in 1940 at 314 Locust St.;

Mary Jane and Robert were blessed with 4 grandchildren(Norma (Dunlavy),Marjorie(Shricker); and Stanley Jr.(Dolores) and Robert(Marj)-Great grandchildren:Norma (Lowry)Dorothy Spurgat, deceased Brian, & Robert Dunlavy; (deceasedJud, Matt Lowry), Jeffrey, Josh Lowry; Colleen Lowry(Kevin)Keen-

Mary Jane passed the twin genetic blessing 84 years later with twins being born in(1979), great great grand daughters Holly MarieKeen(Best)&Heather Marie Keen(Andrews) to Colleen Marie Lowry(KevinKeen) with siblings Heidi and Eric Keen. Many additional great great great grandchildren were born carrying on the Lowry family heritage-Elias Lowry Andrews was the first great great great grandchild being blessed the Lowry name of Stanley Lowry. Generations continue to carry on the name of the Lowry Irish immigrants in families Andrews, Best, Knapp and Keen gr.gr.gr. grandchildren. Great greatgrandchild Eric Robert Keen married Audrey Martin with gr.gr.gr.grandson/daughter Matthew Robert Keen and Josephine Ann Keen blessing her with another gift of life from the good Lord.

Her grandchildren-Norma, Marj, Stan and Robert joined her eternally later in life and sadly great grandchildren Jud(63)Matt(60) Lowry deceased-2016/19. Nieces and nephews continue to carry Ireland roots-Colleen mgr., continues to be in touch with 2nd /3rd cousins Dorothy(Dunlavy) Spurgat, Jim Allen Kris Dennie(Adsit) each living in WI. area and their families.
