Gladys M. Lowry, 63, 1119 Mineral Point Ave., died yesterday in Mercy Hospital after having been in failing health several months.
She was born in the Town of La Prairie, June 4, 1905, the daughter of Robert and Mary Lowry, and was employed at Parker Pen Co., for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She loved her nieces- Colleen was the youngest niece and loved family history with Gladys school book of poems.
She and brother Floyd had lived together in their adult years with the undeniable nurturing care of sister Hazel.
Survivors are two brothers, Norman, Janesville, and Seth, Madison; two sisters, Mrs. (BessieLowry)Marshall Honeysett, Temple City, Calif., and Mrs.(HazelLowry)Clarence Olson. Nephews Stan Lowry and Bob Lowry and nieces Norma(Dunlavy) and Marj(Schricker) were only relatives along with great Niece/nephews were Colleen Lowry, Jud, Josh and Jeff Lowry.
Gladys' siblings Stan passed from injuries from war in 1935, Floyd early in 1959, and survivor brother Norman not passing until later in his retirement years.
