Michael A. Moran, Sr., 79, of Washington, died Saturday at a nursing home there. Born in Mt. Savage, he was a son of the late Thomas and Martha (Lynch) Moran. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary (Martin) Moran; three sons, Michael A. Jr., Doyle and Richard Moran, all of Washington, D. C.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane McGuire, Mrs. Ann Gillespie, Mrs. Patricia Darlington and Mrs. Regina Schrider, all of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Loretta Phillips, Southampton, L.I., N.Y. and Mrs. Edith Lancaster, Mt. Savage; one brother, Edward Moran, Mt. Savage; 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A requiem mass was celebrated yesterday in St. Anthony's Cathoic Church in Washington with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery there.
